What goes wrong, and what we do about it.
The quote and the shopping list are different numbers
You priced 72kg and bought five 20kg kits. The difference is your margin, and you find out after the job.
Both come off the same calculation. The materials list is derived from the quote, so they cannot drift.
The plan changes after the deposit
The customer paid against one specification and the job is now running against another.
A deposit locks the plan, enforced on the server rather than hidden behind a disabled button.
Invoicing is a Word document
Numbers get reused, VAT is handled by hand, and an audit becomes a bad week.
Tax invoices on one gapless sequence, corrected by credit note and never edited, with VAT handled whether or not you are a registered vendor.

We do flooring, not epoxy. Does this still apply?
The machinery does. Quoting off a measurement, packing an order into the sizes a supplier actually sells, locking a plan at deposit and invoicing in a way SARS accepts are not specific to epoxy. The material calculation is the part that gets rebuilt for your trade.
Can it work offline on site?
Partly, and we will be specific about which parts. Capturing photographs and notes on site with a poor signal works. Anything that has to agree with a price book or an invoice sequence needs a connection, because guessing at those creates worse problems than waiting.
Does it connect to our accounting?
Where your package has an API or a scheduled export, yes. Where it is a desktop program with no way in, we will say so instead of promising something that breaks every time it updates.
