Orders, kitchen, stock and delivery zones

Software for food and hospitality

The ordering, stock and delivery problems here are the same ones we solved for TC Club, which takes orders, tracks stock across categories and manages delivery zones every day.

What goes wrong, and what we do about it.

  • Orders arrive by phone and WhatsApp

They get written on paper, misheard, or lost in a chat during a rush.

One ordering surface feeding a kitchen view, with a fixed workflow so an order cannot be marked done before it was made.

  • Nobody knows what has run out until it has

A customer orders something the kitchen cannot make, and the refund costs more than the dish.

Stock tied to the menu, so an item that cannot be made stops being orderable.

  • Delivery is guesswork

Drivers take the wrong route, customers phone to ask where the food is, and somebody answers the phone instead of working.

Delivery zones with pinned addresses and status updates that reach the customer without anybody typing them.

What we build for it.

One place, whichever way it arrives.

  • Online ordering with live availability
  • Sequential order numbers
  • Card payments in rand
  • Order status the customer can see

  • Stock linked to menu items
  • Low-stock alerts before service

Getting it there

Zones, drivers and the customer knowing.

  • Driver assignment and handover
  • Status updates by SMS or WhatsApp

What this has to answer to

  • POPIA

The services this uses

Questions about food and hospitality.

Have you built for a restaurant specifically?

Not a restaurant. We have built ordering, category stock, payments and delivery-zone management for a members club, which is the same machinery under a different menu. We would rather tell you that plainly than describe a restaurant project we have not done.

Can it work alongside a delivery platform?

Usually. Where a platform has an API we connect to it so their orders land in the same queue as yours. Where it does not, we will say so rather than promise a scraper that breaks on their next release.

What about customers with no data?

SMS covers the customers WhatsApp does not, and both are supported per customer. Status updates should not depend on somebody having airtime for data.

Tell us what your business is running on right now.

Thirty minutes, no charge, no slide deck. We will tell you whether this is something we can build and roughly what it would take. If it is not a fit, we will say so on the call.
